We continue our series highlighting questions we have received on our Houzz projects. Martin Bros. Often, Houzzers (members of the app) come to us with questions about our projects. Through answering these questions, we are provided the unique opportunity to educate Houzzers about our projects.  At times, we are not able to provide specific information for privacy reasons, but make every effort to accommodate Houzzers.

This week we answer questions on the French Country Retreat Interior.

Houzzer: What is the color of the paint? Hi, would love to know the color of the bathroom walls.

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: It’s a Benjamin Moore color Squirrel Tail BM 1476 in a flat finish.

Houzzer: What is the bottom tub surround? It looks like a bronze finish. Love it!

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: It is a custom panel supplied by the bath cabinet maker Hoosier House Furnishings, LLC, Goshen, IN. The look is achieved through a two-step painted process.

Houzzer: Love the tub. What is the size of it?

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: It is a Kohler K1418-H Whirlpool Tub; 6 ft. model. This particular tub is no longer available from Kohler. Kohler most likely has a comparable model available. A reputable plumbing supply company in your area should be able to help you in securing a model that works for you.

Houzzer: Hi, would like to know the ceiling height of the great room please? Thank you!

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: The ceiling height is 11 ft. 4 in.

Houzzer: Would love to know wall color info, thanks.

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: It is a Valspar color Almond Biscotti CI-67; however the painter used a Benjamin Moore flat paint.

Houzzer: Love the island and range hood. Can you tell me the dimensions of the island and the paint on the range hood or technique? Thanks!

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: The base of the island is 131″x 52″. The range hood is wood and was faux painted copper by an artist hired by the designer, S. P. Interiors of Mishawaka, IN.

Houzzer: Love the wall color; are you able to share info? Thanks.

Houzzer: Where did you get the chandelier?

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: As a custom home builder, we do not select the lighting fixtures. Lighting was selected by the client and their designer and was purchased at Wabash Electric.

Houzzer: What is used on the floor?

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: According to invoicing it’s 18″x18″ Florida Tile PietraArt Picasso Rustic Travertine. It was installed by Collins & Company, Bristol, IN

Houzzer: Is the travertine honed or polished?

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: According to invoicing it is honed travertine.  (Honed travertine is the most common type of travertine flooring. This means that the surface of the travertine has been polished flat, but not completely glossed.)

Houzzer: What is the paint color in the dining room, please?

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: It is a Valspar color Almond Biscotti CI-67; however the painter used a Benjamin Moore flat paint.

Houzzer: Where did you find the arched French doors for the study?

Martin Bros. Contracting, Inc.: The doors were custom made by Rockwood Products Ltd., Millersburg, OH.
